Nikolai Galitzine

I am a UK and Iceland based producer/director/DOP with a passion for documentaries, and visual stories. 

I have just completed my first feature documentary EYRÍKI (Island Nation) which I shot on a remote island in the Greenland sea. It is off to festivals this year!

I started HLC in 2022 to serve as a hub for myself and my filmmaking friends  to make documentaries and drama. 

Community and collaboration is important to me. I love to help people get their visions on screen. I love Cinema as a viewer, and as a maker.

From developing a minority co-pro to shooting the film itself, I set up HLC to make impactful films and amplify important voices.

I started off in visual effects where I learned the art of problem solving.

I directed VFX commercials and music videos for major brands and artists before moving into long form in 2010.

I also worked as a broadcast off-line editor, script writer and producer, and now concentrate on developing, producing and directing.

I work in Iceland regularly, and know and love that country well!
